We will take up two intriguing texts: Malachi 3: 10-12 and the sections from Luke where Jesus talks about how you cannot put old wine in new wineskins.

He is really talking about how as we grow into a recognition of the presence and power of God in our lives, our understanding and practice of Covenant expands. Sometimes, we fear that expansion as we mistake the container for what is contained. As our text from Malachi says, God is always pouring down "overflowing" blessing. How can we live into, and receive this promise, without fear, and with joy?
